City Return and Earn is dedicated to making recycling accessible and convenient for everyone in our community. Our Home Collection service provides residents with a bin for their recyclable containers, which our team will collect directly from their homes and replace with an empty one.
This service is especially beneficial for individuals who may find it challenging to visit our depots, such as the elderly, those without a car, those with limited time, and individuals with disabilities.

Turn your containers into Cash
Start recycling your containers effortlessly with our Home Collection Service. For each eligible container, receive a 10 cents, benefiting both you and the environment.
Set up your account, and we will provide bins for your containers, collecting them from your doorstep when full. It's a convenient way to support sustainability from home while earning cash.

Set Up Your Account
Click the button below to create your account and start recycling from home, earning 10 cents per eligible container.

Request Your Bin
Once your account is set up, log in and select "Create job", then "Initial Setup and Bin(s) delivery" to order your bin.

Fill Up Your Bin
Place all your empty eligible containers into the bins.

Schedule a Swap Over
When your bin is full, log in to your account and select "Create job", then "Swap Over Request" to schedule a collection and replacement.
Alternatively, call or email us to schedule a collection.
On collection day, place your bin in an accessible location near your house or gate. Our team will collect the full bin and replace it with an empty one. You don’t need to be home during the collection.
Please note a $5 fee per swap over, per bin, will be deducted from your container refunds.

Earn Money
We will bring your bins to our nearest depot and count the collected eligible containers.
You will earn 10 cents for each eligible container, with refunds deposited into your nominated bank account within 21 business days.
Please note that a one-time set up fee of $49 per bin will be deducted from your refunds and is non-refundable upon cancellation.

Your household is already consuming drinks - so why let those containers go to waste? Instead of tossing them in the yellow bin or sending them to landfill, let us collect them from your doorstep and turn them into cash for you.
It’s hassle-free, convenient, and perfect for anyone who lives far from a depot, has a busy schedule, or needs a more accessible recycling option. Sign up once, and we’ll handle the rest - your containers, your returns, your reward.
There is a one-time cost of $49 for the bin and $5 for each swap over. However, we don't take any money upfront; we simply deduct the container refunds until the bin is paid off. Afterward, customers will start receiving refunds into their nominated bank account or can choose to donate to a charity.
When your bins are full, you can schedule a swap over request in the vWork app.
We suggest keeping the bin close to your house or hidden somewhere easily accessible for collection to prevent it from going missing or your containers from being stolen.
Eligible containers include most drink bottles, cans, and cartons between 150ml and 3 litres. This typically includes soft drink cans, beer bottles, water bottles, juice cartons, and similar beverage containers. Keep an eye out for the 10c sticker on each container.

Nope - the purple bins are just for eligible drink containers like cans and
bottles. If bins are filled with too much general waste or non-eligible containers (more than 10% contamination), we won’t be able to give a refund and a $19 penalty will apply for each affected bin.
We have discretion to void the agreement if this happens on a frequent occurrence.
You don't need to be home. We will take photos of the swap over process so you know it's been completed, and this will appear on the app. Arrangements can be made by calling us at 1800 273 292, emailing contact@cityreturnearn.com.au, or using the app.

You can download the Vwork App. Through this app, you can sign up, book a new service, request a swap over, track the driver, and see the details of money earned from our services.
The staff will count the valid containers, and you can track this through the app. A receipt is also provided.
