BENEFITS IN PARTICIPATING
make a positive impact with us
Reduces pollution
Recycling bottles and cans helps reduce pollution by ensuring these materials are processed and reused, preventing them from ending up in landfills or oceans.
Saves money
Earn 10 cents for every eligible container you recycle. This not only puts money back in your pocket but also supports local recycling initiatives.
Preserves natural resources
Recycling conserves natural resources by reducing the need for raw materials. This helps preserve ecosystems and reduces the environmental impact of resource extraction.
Slows landfill growth
Recycling diverts waste from landfills, slowing their growth and reducing the environmental issues associated with landfill sites.
Increases energy efficiency
Recycling materials requires less energy than producing new ones from raw materials. This increase in energy efficiency helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions and saves valuable resources.
Creates jobs
The recycling industry supports numerous jobs in collection, processing, and distribution. By participating in City Return and Earn, you help create and sustain employment opportunities in your community.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
Sustainability in services like City Return and Earn lies in their ability to create a positive environmental impact while fostering community engagement. By collecting empty cans and bottles and offering a refund of 10 cents per eligible container, we incentivise individuals to participate in recycling efforts, promoting a culture of zero waste. Moreover, our service contributes to resource conservation by diverting materials from landfills and promoting their reuse.
community impact
Our Community Impact initiative involves supporting local businesses in their recycling journey by providing bins and collection services for a small fee, ensuring they still receive the 10 cents refund for each container recycled. This approach not only benefits the environment but also promotes value for money and empowers individuals to take an active role in preserving our planet for future generations.
